5.8 has been released on the Korean PTS today.

Full PTS PN: 5.8 Patchnotes
DB: Version:58.17.0609

1. Divine Fortress is once more accessible.

2. Divine Tower instance has been added.
3. Mirash Sancturary instance has been added.

4. Upper Abyss Fortress instances have been removed
5. Divine Soul Healing has been added
- can be used to heal your soul and restore HP/MP for additional cost. Can not be used if there is no recoverable XP.
6. 5 new minions added.
7. Minions can now be used at level 10 instead of 66.
8. Spinel Coins and Spinel Coin Equipment has been added.
9. New Abyss Weapons, Armors and accessories have been added. They can be obtained through Equipment Evolution.
10. New equipment and items can be crafted through magical crafting.
11. Atreia Pass has been changed.
12. Monster Book has been changed.
- You can now add mobs to your favorite list.
13. Some chat colour changes

I was sure they'd add new AP gear considering their latest enchant events rofl

But rly dumb to add new gear after 2 minipatches, wtf

So just when people finish their Abyss gear there will be a new set...? Well at least you can get it through equipment evolution and no need to buy a new set.

Monster Book is still useless I assume?

Everyone got +15 gear with +7 accessories? Weapons and wings? I don't think so. Especially if you're playing in the faction that doesn't get all abyss fortresses for Spinel Medallions.

And not everyone can play all day to do PvP instances or grind kinah.

But yeah, it's still quite long time before we will get 5.8 so we "slowpokes" got time to catch up too.

you have to sacrifice your pvp items to get the new ones btw.

no it has a new design.
just because it has the blue window, doesnt mean it looks the same.

Ok, so 75 ap wep can be turned into the new ap weps (80?). Thats OK ...but some of the AP weapons are used for fuse, the main one is pve ...So if I want that new bow I have to buy 75 ap ...make it +10 and then evolve it to the new one ....I really hope there will be a way of direct buying these

Edit: and if I want to fuse 2 bows ...I have to make 2 of them +10 ....evolve ...jeeez I cant even calculate how much ap and medals and apes and supplements .....Its never boring with Aion

Edit2: so the pve has to be +10, the ap one has to be 0 .....at least from what I can see....ah well

5.6 >>> 0,1% pvp atk and def per plus above +15 on armors
0,3% pvp atk per plus above +15 on weapons

all of that is gonna feel like a huge waste [and it will be] bcz of this patch. Why would you waste 5bil for 1 +20 part thats gonna get replaced 3 months after ?

I planned to make some parts +17 for those few pvp atks/defs, but not sure what Ill do now :x
we get patches in the intervals of 3/4 months max, and we shud get 5.6 by the end of july, so technicaly this patch isnt "too far".

I hate this, it's such a shit way to update the game. 0 respect for the players. Imagine all the koreans who spent thousands to get aion.plaync.com/characters/01006-003J5i such gear. Yo, u played 3 months with it, there's better gear now, time to spend more son. On the other side, f2p ppl are in a constant "forced farm state" required in order to keep up, which is exhausting and makes ppl quit.
