3k should be enough. Never have resists with 3k.

I always went ht with 2.8k macc on my sorc and I don't really had ressist problems

you sure? Your flame spray hits are quite low compare to the boss time

u got runs without resists and runs: (checked only 5 but i guess is like that in the older too)

also u go with multiple sorc so u use like 1 winter bind per run (i suppose with suppli) and if u are alone chance to resist the root is higher
