new server would be great only if they promise to not merge in any way whit old servers within a year that include pvp & pve instances

yes new server for new/return players. NO if they join to become governors because they will leave again like always

The problem is that much of the current generation has not understood what an MMO is. A mmo is not a game that revolves around an elo rating or I don't know what. Being governor doesn't make you a good player, nor a recognized player. If you only play Aion to become governor change games, a mmo is not for you.
Aion like any mmo is made to create communities for them to play together, here your faction or your guild. You don't have to tell yourself, I'm a general, I'm too good. But I'm a general what can I do with this for my faction or guild. Because in a mmo the ranking here is only a xform that is a tool for your guild or faction.
The current generation jumps from game to game disappointed not to enter a ranking not to be the best (term that makes no sense in a mmo). Opening a new server will only bring players like that who will leave the following month anyway.

that depend on gameforge business model about leaving players xD , and how will value the non p2w " time " they spend in game

Definitely no "Old Servers" have problems with Balance and population. They should focus on that.

i said yes. new players that comes to aion have no chance to get geared up as all will to well geared.
it is better if all is equal geared from start.

If u are govornor or general does not matter in 6.2 also takes long time for those ranks... in 6.2 there is not much HP u can gain, almost only Lkarum siege will give HP.

Theres no point for this voting, it's 100% sure they will open new server(s). They can't officially announce it yet cause many people will do nothing but wait to reroll = less income for gameforge.

1 new INT server isn't a bad idea, but if they plan to open 4-5 servers again then no.

I really hope they just do one server and they have learned their lesson from the lady one. Even if it means queues to join at the beginning...

They shouldn't open any new server with the release of 6.2, the reason being is that the EU population is not great enough to support another server.

New server doesnt make huge sense... Since 6.2 is all about starting anew anyway? New gear, new skill rotations, leveling, crafting?

All you can do atm is save up kinah, mats, prepare for 6.2 in old servers.. which is a small advantage over a new server.

That kinda is the issue, it's debatable if the advantage is "small".

Obviously old players should have an advantage over new ones.

But in that case, the term "fresh-start" should be buried very deep into the ground and never mentioned. Unless it comes together as a pair with the words "not" and "a". Also you can't use just "a", you have to use both. And you can't be allowed to say "a fresh start, not?". You can just use it as NOT A FRESH START.

Because, 6.2 is not a fresh start.

Why not do a full wipe instead. That'd be fun to observe with a bit of popcorn on the side.

I would say yes, and no if they make hp system by season . If they make hp by seasons no reason to make a new server, the gear gap will just be for 2 or 3 weeks cuz of the gear lvl 80 exchange , and then everything will be normal.
