Of course you and I will never agree on anything. I believe that in this case it has to be with your approach to this game (or gaming in general), which definitely involves the Aion Shop much more than mine.
I do not have the figures to support a statement on which product is doing better, supposedly you do.
I just have limited data from Steam activity showing a constant decline in users on Metin, while a mixed trend for Aion. The number of active users on steam is very similar, around 1k daily peak.
Moreover the feedback for Aion shows 65% positive reviews, while Metin has 60%.
I would also argue that Aion has, generally speaking, a better reputation compared to Metin 2
