You need a healthy amount of XP to re-charge the 5 minute CD skills, around 100 million XP. -
They will get right on it after they have milked the shop RNG boxes and few P2W mega events for all they are worth, then they'll get to the ''damage control'' part and give out some stuff easier when tons of people already quit. Somehow i have the feeling their ''platinerk'' and hero trials will be absolute garbage with 0x Ancient transforms and waaaay, WAAAAAYYY too low legendary enchant supply since they are completely out of touch with the game itself. (If that is indeed the case, GF just don't even implement it since it would only serve to infuriate people even more.)

After that money is collected, they'll start giving to the poor. -
you still get more xp than needed. and my point was still not about that. for example, what do you do with the contracts you get after you reached ultimate transform? what do you do with the amount of minionites you get after you finalized your minions? there are many things which at some point will stop being useful. that was the point.

the crystals example is just like yours and have almost the same fate. you can still use the xp but not for the main purpose. you can still use crystals but not for the main purpose, you will use them to make kinah. -
By the end of the expansion sure.
Until then you will use them now for enchantment stones and in 6.5 for crafting daevanion skills.
