It has already become obvious at how soul destroying to players who enjoy the aethertech class that patch 6.0/6.2 has done in regards to finding groups for instances.
Prior to this patch, the AT's armour was different from a cleric's as that always used to have Healing Boost added as an additional stat, so it was always obvious who it should go to. Now in this patch, there is now a class war between Clerics and ATs because of the armour drop. Clerics have put up with AT's in Holy Tower, however once they move onto Prometun's Workshop, they have started to refuse to have the AT class in their group, unless the AT swears on their life they will only roll on Magic Leather and not the Magic Chain drops.
This has started to make it extremely difficult for AT's to find groups, unless the AT can organise one, and even then they have to find a friendly cleric who won't mind them rolling. For me, I have to take clerics and gunners who are already partly geared, and I only roll on pieces they already have. All other classes are optional to take into the instances, a Cleric isn't so why should they be able to dictate the group makeup.
Until we get patch 7.0, the entire AT class is going to be forcibly discriminated against in instances for magic chain drop. Is there a way that GF can ask for a mini patch to introduce Magic Plate armour early by adding magic plate armour to the drops in HT and Prometun, and enabling tech's to wear plate instead of chain (adding an npc for players to swap their chain gear for plate (without losing stones/enchants).
I'm not holding out any hope for it to be done, but clearly NCSoft in Korea has made the change in 7.0 because of this issue, and if you don't ask you don't get, so am asking on behalf of all the techs in game.
