[Discussion Thread] New Years Event

    • It's actually have pretty decent rewards depending on how you view it. Normal chests can give 10mil kinah, stigma ench, legendary enchantment stones (also shards, slot stones and other useless ...)
      You can get permanent legendary armor (can anyone confirm is it reidentifiable?). But getting perma armor from this event has bad design. To get more pieces, you just need to afk 7 hours. Make it that you need to play, to get more (some repeatable quests, dungeons would be awesome, but you can't repeat them indefinitely, only 4 times...).

      But the main selling point of this event was ancient transform and ultimate stones, which can only be gotten from RUNE chests with RUNE keys. And that is RNG locked.

      To make a good event, you need to put wanted reward (ancient transform) behind PLAY wall. If you play the game and grind for event, at the end you should be able to get that reward. Now some people can get that from running 1 mirash, some won't get even after running mirash all 5 weeks with 11 chars.

      Also, please don't force us to play with many different chars. I would love only to play with my main, but I can't now - I am forced to grind with as many alts as I can to get as many transformations for fuse or event keys. I want to grind with my main.

      It's not re-identifiable. It's the legendary PvE compensation gear. Fixed stats.
      It was not designed to get entire set but just a few parts to finish a set I assume.

      Because these events were actually rewardful with what we can do in game.

      Shugo tomb :

      f2p players get decent rewards.

      p2w players get decent rewards in larger quantity.

      Nowadays current events are like :

      f2p players get breadcrumbs.

      p2w players get decent rewards.

      In "ask aion" i saw words about "need to do something between players with x8 characters and with x1 character" but still... no news.
      I can get x4 contracts per week - x2 free from shop, x1 for 12.5k kinah and x1 for shugo gold.

      Yes, keys was always in shop, but do you remember last few events like island and tomb? You got special keys for free at event start and we could collect them and give to main or sell. Now we can't get special keys for free, even from normal chests (i've got 0), only normal keys. And do you remember how much we got from almost every event few years ago? Not 1 or 2 legendary stones, but 8- 10 apes and billions of kinah, not 10kk as now.
      Sorry, but if we need epic super keys for event, Gameforge should give it to players somehow. If you can get it only from shop, than sorry- its promo. Even if i will get 1- 2 keys from normal chests (if), we still need 5 (don't speak about 10 key chest, its unbelievable) to get normal event reward (just 1 reward!!!).

      In the pdf you can scroll down to see the S chest rewards.

      Regarding the reward list on powerbook, there is no main list that every region has to follow on the letter per event. Our list doesn't have to be the same as on Powerbook.

      @Galeas will you be so kind to communicate with the person who choosing the free-to-play rewards and explained to him that some items in game can be acquired in hundreds very easily?

      I understand that you guys want to reduce the % for a player to get something valuable for free by adding junks in the reward list, but add something else instead!!! What good can do 1 x legendary lydium and 5 x slot stones to the players when they have thousands of those items stacked and useless in their warehouses? Please stop humiliating your selves so bad with such amateur choices on every event.

      And please don't say the "new player" excuse, that a new player might get helped with such rewards. No, a new player is unlikely gonna need any of these items until he make some progress and gearing. And until he do that he will have hundreads of them on his own.

      Events are the ones that you can participate without spending money on the cash shop, that can be called event or atleast thats what people understand, but there is literaly no way to participate and open the 10key chest without cash shop, thats a fact, so this is not an event, is clearly a promo.

      The chances for you to be able to open the 5key or 10key chest without the cash shop are so litle that maybe (and im almost sure about it) out of 1000 players only 2 or 3 lucky ones will be able to open them, and they have there a chance of getting shards, minionite and other bunch of useless items on the list.

      Its clearly not made for the players in average, its not rewarding for them, its made for the customers that spend huge amounts on the cash shop, its balanced for them, so if theres a guy buying 500 keys to open 50 chest, he will get an average of items that will not be too much rewarded.

      Like it or not, thats how it is, now u can call it w/e u like, but thats not an event for the average player understanding.

      I recently swapped from elyos to asmo and needed to buy crap on broker to extract to get slot stones to open my gear to upgrade to legendary and also the legendary pve stuff I have i havnt fully opened to put some accuracy stones in it. Just cus u have 500 million slot stones doesn't mean everyone has that many. For new and returning players those things you consider crap is actually useful. There's ppl who don't have time or don't want to get bundles in rt/dred due to starting out/ having bad gear. Getting legendary idiym other way is nice. The fact alone that I have a shortage in slot stones proves that what you say is untrue. And I extract most of gold drops I get. So now imagine a new person who needs to sell some parts to get kinah instead of just extracting.

      The only problem is that 1 idiym or 5 slot stones is too low amount. It should be 5 idium and 50-100 slot stones.

      It's funny to see constantly ppl saying new players don't need this or that or f2p players don't get anything from this or that. I started completely over new. No vr no main no kinah no items. All these "crap" events have been giving me stuff I need. Will p2w ppl get more stuff or exclusive stuff? Yes obviously.. You think ppl buying gold packs is what keeps the server OPEn? Without rng crap on shop and event items there, we would be playing in NA aion with 300 ping or another game. If events are so rewarding that nobody needs to buy from shop then they can't pay the bills x)

      Ok, found it. But isn't it better to just add those tables to the event description, instead of making ppl download pdf documents?

      You don't have to download it you cna juste read it by clicking on it.

      News with tables were so long that many people didn't read it. We changed it this way, which is much better IMO since you can directly jump to rewards if yo want to or simply read the text if you prefer.

      the amount of those rewards is insulting, 5 slot stones when for first ancient slot you need 16? Besides, you will have tons of them very soon from extracting cause you need Tons of fragments of fighting spirit and those are a real problem and would be nice if we got more of them.

      Broker didn't had any gear to buy? Or you didn't have the kinah to buy? In both cases, problem wasn't the slot stone's ingame income, and 1 or 5 slot stones from "events" wouldn't be any help since you can get hundreds of them with a single extraction.

      Every new player's dream in aion is how to get lydium and slot stones? xD No GP, no kinah, no transform, no enchantment stones, no manastones, no potions, no serums, no stigmas, but slot stones and lydiums? xD

      You can get lydiums even if you loose instanses like runa / canyon. Even by being afk the game will reward you with legendary lydium. As for dred, yeah you need participating, but even in a quick entry, a new or bad-geared player can still get at least 1 bundle. No need for gears, only to follow the group and run forward.

You have many slot stones because you extract pvp gear for fragments. I don't have a lot of kinah to buy pvp gear on broker to extract for fragments/slot stones because I'm a returning player on a fresh account. As I said, your points are valid for ppl playing several months. I'm playing a few weeks and don't have spare kinah for everything ^^

      Idk why you are "wow'ing". Without shop income there is no aion in EU. if rng bundles sold on shop gives me the chance to play the game, i don't give a crap about rng bundles. I'm f2p. Idc if it's rng bundles or gear or enchantstones or w/e. If you are lost for words by the fact you're playing a game financed by ppl buying rng bundles, then you know what you can do :) I'm not ashamed for saying things how they are instead of jumping on the hate bandwagon.

    • Listen man in 3 days of playing the game I made 20.000 slot stones don't come to me with delusions that slot stones, lydium and fragments of the fighting spirit are hard to get.

      Yeah they're hard if you AFK in town 24/7, go play the game and you'll get them.

      What's hard to get is what people keep asking for, Legendary PvP Enchantment Stones from 100% free to play, shop-free events as well as transformations befitting their class and ultimate pvp enchantment stones.

      I have 1 pve set of ultimate and legendary pieces and 1 pvp set of nearly ultimate pieces, every single piece is fully unlocked with slot stones and socketed with manastones, what I can't do is enchant them because guess what? There are no freaking stones for enchanting.
