I feel like platinerk would have included such rewards but its taking so long to get added, it doesnt even matter.

Scrolls, food and potions have been in the game for so long.
Now they remove it all and replace it with some system that has the same stats in another form and now they want to squeeze money out of us to keep the same stats as we had before?
That's called stealing. Take something away from you and if you want it back, pay RL money for it?
And on the other hand, promote the game as being totally playable and rewarding, and even claiming that f2p players now have a chance to get to the same level as a p2w player?

They could at least add ancient contracts which give a random one, or potions, to the gold sand trader shop and allow us to buy them with kinah in unlimited numbers and decent price (the potions I mean).
Not just 1 random contract every week, and for that an insane 12.5m kinah, which will mostly give whites which aren't even worth that money.

Totally random contracts should be 5 per day and should cost about 1m or so, or maybe less than that, say 500k.
Ancient contracts could stay at 12.5m kinah and be allowed to buy 1 per week, or make it once per month per character which starts on cd as soon as you create your character.
That way, everyone can buy ancient contracts and gather them a bit faster as some don't even have 1 ancient contract in half a year atm, while some have it from the first contract they get.
There is still alot of RNG involved to even get a legendary this way.
Even with 11 chars on the same account, it will give 11 ancient contracts a month.
When you have doubles after some time, you still need to succeed in getting 1 legendary.
To get kaisinel, you still need alot of legendaries to eventually get the ultimate one.

It will still take time and patience, but not years or even decades for f2p players to get a legendary one with this magnitude of RNG involved..

To have legendary contracts or even kaisinel, I can understand they want to make money from that and not allow us to get those within 1 or 2 months after starting out as a fresh player.Those could still use the RNG in combining ancient to get a chance to get a legendary, most of us would be fine with that.

With the current system and amount of contracts that anyone can get ingame, it will take at least 2-3 years to even have a chance at kaisinel.
By that time, Aion 8.0 will be here and all your contracts will be useless.
Because they will have made that much money out of it and almost nobody will have kaisinel by that time, they will remove it again and implement something else to make you start over.

My employer definitely wouldn't pay for that.

To provide answers, like, I will request it to GF on monday or there is no news about that ? and then get hated by some ungrateful ......... in your free time ?

I better payed even 200kk or more for guaranteed ancient contract, than what is now with those random contacts for 12.5kk and then see them fail to fuse time after time.

I actively play the game, farm with 6-7 chars and I don't have any illusions anymore that i will ever have legendary form. Maybe an ancient after a year or so. Of course i could get ancient in 1 day if i get lucky, but it's the same to go to casino and saying today is my lucky day...

200kk is too much.
In the past, you only had to pay a fraction of that money to buy enough scrolls, food and potions for a full month, even with old kinah which was 10 times more than today.
You still need to buy many transformation scrolls to activate that contract, don't forget about that.
These scrolls aren't cheap and have about the same price as we had a combination of a running scroll, attack speed scroll, some food and a potion for example.
So these contracts should not be unreachable or insanely priced, because you still need alot of scrolls to be able to use it anyway.
Higher grade contracts consume your scrolls faster (it was like that on NA server anyway, where a white contract lasted 9 mins, greens 7 mins and an ancient only 5 mins, so the higher grade your contract is, the more scrolls you burn to keep it active, making it a money-sink by itself. Kaisinel was only 1 minute per scroll.

We expect similar prices, not unreachable prices for 95% of the players.

You still need hundreds of ancients to combine them to get a chance to have a few legendaries, and hundreds of legendaries to get kaisinel.
Since the successrate of combining 6 legendaries is only 13.75% to get kaisinel, you need 44 legendaries as doubles on average to get 1 kaisinel ((100 / 13.75) * 6)
"As doubles" means you have enough contracts already to receive a double every time you get a contract, so the amount of contracts and price eventually will still be a bit higher than calculated here.
This calculation only counts the money and contracts needed when you have all contracts already with just 1 of each.

To combine ancients to get a legendary with a rate of 27.5%, you need 22 ancient contracts as doubles to get 1 legendary on average.

That means you need 44 * 22 = 968 ancient contracts to get 1 kaisinel on average, multiplied by your 200m each, making that 193.6 billion kinah.
A bit insane, don't you think? Even for a p2w player, I think it's too much.
Even with 11 chars on your account farming non-stop to buy 1 ancient contract every week, that would still be 968/11 = 88 weeks, or little over 1.5 years on average to get kaisinel.
While Aion is changing so fast (Aion KR already has 7.0 with even more transforms, and we almost have 6.5 ourselves), kaisinel will ALWAYS be out of reach, even for most p2w players.

With current kinah earnings (soon the kinah event for mirash and garden bosses will disappear once hero trials and platinerk are implemented), you'll be farming for years to come as well,
making it unreachable again.
Even with a price of 12.5m each ancient contract, that's still 12.1 billion kinah, which still is an insane amount of money for a f2p player.
NCSoft even mentioned nobody needs to actually live in the game fulltime to be able to reach end-game content and have a competitive character, but it seems the opposite is true.
Not even some p2w players get there, only 1 so far.

As it is now, you need about 131.110 double whites on average to get 1 kaisinel, according to this cheet:

With prices being 12.5m per random contract which gives 90% whites I guess, that's 131.110 * 12.5m = 1638 billion kinah.
Does NCSoft believe that's a fair price for 1 item ingame?
And don't forget the transform scrolls to activate your contract because it will be useless without those scrolls.

If NCsoft makes calculations like these, as well as Gameforge and Aion NA, then it's pretty clear something needs to be done about it.
Why have kaisinel in the game while nobody can get it by normal means?
And the one who got it, what did he spend to get it? Most people don't even have that money IRL to be able to spend that on a virtual item in some computer game.

If only it would be that easy for EU.

I work irl in support and I wouldn't bother taking my laptop with me to check in for work stuff unless I am on paid standby - I learned long time ago to leave work at work.

The idea behind your paid salary is that you are paid a total amount of a year/monthly/weekly etc to do your job, regardless of how long it takes you, but also the amount should be for what you can do in the amount of hours you are contracted for i.e. 37.5hrs a week. By doing extra hours is de-valuing your time. This happens alot in the industry I also have contractual work in where, because you want to do your best, you put in extra hours, effectively doubling your hours and making your wages half the minimum wage. Plus if you never tell your employer how many additional hours or work you put in, your employer will always believe the job is only ever worth that much.

So perfectly understandable when Galeas can only spend so many amount of hours answering questions on forum, emails etc.



Back to the topic of contracts, Yes there is an issue with not having ancients etc and people complaining about having to use a transformation contract, but if you factor in the old system of having to use a running scroll and attack/casting scroll. The transformation scroll is cheaper (though the price is inflated due to the kinah wipe.

I don't like RNG, and what I think needs to happen is a greater opportunity to get white and green xforms, which will allow for more fusions and % chance to take place to fuse into ancient, but just balanced enough to not create tonnes of legendaries for kaisenel Fusion

The difference is that before, everyone had the same run speed/attack speed/cast speed with scrolls. Transformation scroll is about the same price as run+atk speed+crit scrolls combined but that doesn't even matter because it's not the scroll that gives you stats.
