mmm nope, usually the website is reachable, but this time they shutted it down, there is not even a "maintenance running" advice. so i thought they failed at something.

You may be the most intelligent person being here, but I'm looking the website and g-status page for game status often and didnt see the site was unreachable. Maybe try to ctrl+F5 to refresh the page when you saw a unreachable site to a clean refresh.
