      Hello everyone,

      I would like to discuss the best two-handed gladiator weapon.

      Why do most people prefer polearm to GS?

      They have the same stats except the base attack of the weapon, but the GS has more attack speed, so why is polearm used? I really can not understand it.

      Does he have any 'hidden' bonuses? Such as more critical or more chance to land the enemies?

    • when I had gladi alt in past I used GS coz more stable dmg, bigger attack speed and a bit more accuracy
      Why people choose pole? Coz its look very nice and coz (in past at least) was big difference between pole low dmg attack and attack with max dmg
      Some ppl made tests in past and showed that GS better.

      Polearms used to have a bit more range than GS (I've no idea if it's still like this in 6.2) and more base critical, AoE damage was even bigger with extending weapons, that's why most of the ppl went on pole build in the past, imo.

    • The gs is a very good choice, I personally use it. Xanoa linked you my video which includes a bit of my reasoning.

      The dmg formulas have changed, therefore now you have two separate stats: weapon attack vs physical attack.
      Weapon attack influences the damage you do with autoattacks, physical attack the skills. Because autoattacks have been very nerfed it makes sense to use the GS because it has the same physical attack, a bit less weapon attack, but more att speed.
      The polearm also has 0.5m extra range, however it's hard to notice since it's basically 1 step in game. The animations are different so you also have to see if you prefer the gs ones vs the polearm.

      One point that I did not make clear enough is that when I talk about kaisinel, I actually meant that with the gs + purple form you are a "mini-kaisinel" compared to a polearm user. Koreans however seem to use the polearm because with kaisinel the att speed difference is just 0.1.

      This whole discussion will be valid until the Aion team changes the stats again, so if you like the GS go for it

      Currently in PvE use GS, in PvP I use the legendary polearm and I am undecided whether to restart to add the GS.

      What is the maximum attack speed of GS and polearm?

      Bro really ? :)) Max is 60% for kaisinel and 50% for everything else, so if the pole has 2.8 naturally ur max AS would be 1.4 ( 1.12 with kaisinel) and for GS 2.4 -> to 1.2 ( 0,96 with kaisinel )
      So with kaisinel : GS 1.0, pole 1.1, with no kaisinel but maxed out -> GS 1.2, Pole 1.4


      I'm still waiting for some1 to test DW vs GS pve dmg. fallusha +25 combined with a ulti wep vs ulti GS or pole :( . I'm still on legendary phase and DW does more dmg atm for me.
